Lowercase “b” and all-caps AMPLIFIED makes me hope this product is as BOLD as its name. Let’s see!
blinc’s AMPLIFIED Mascara ($26)
This product, manufactured in Boca Raton, Florida, is packaged in a tube that needs to be opened before you can get to the mascara. This added packaging makes a consumer feel like they’re about to remove a message from a bottle.
AMPLIFIED mascara did not flake, smear, smudge or clump all day long. Even when I rubbed my eyes (by accident!), my lashes remained tactfully intact.
The product itself is great. The extra-heavy plastic around the mascara itself was a bit of a pain to get off. Between opening the tube and trying to take off the plastic wrapping, it felt like it took me 10 minutes to get to the mascara.
The interesting thing about this product is something they call “tubing” technology. The mascara claims to form tiny water resistant “tubes” around the lash. I don’t know that I actually felt it was any different than regular mascara, however. I used this product every day for a week, applying one coat on each eye.
I liked the application process mainly because I didn’t get frustrated by clumping in one particular area of the eyelash (inevitably causing second and third coats to comb out).
Women who are on the go and out of the house all day. This product did not disappoint.
